Sub : Amendments in Standard Input Output Norms for Finished
Leather
Dear Member,
We wish to inform you that the Director General of Foreign Trade
(DFGT) has made some amendments in Standard Input Output Norms (SION)
for Finished Leather coming under SION No. G 7 (Finished Leather
from Hide of Cow /Buffalo). These amendments have been made vide
Public Notice No. 107/(RE:2007)/2004-2009 dated 7.2.2008, a copy
of which is enclosed herewith for your reference.
The details of amendments made are as follows.
- In Serial Nos. 12 (a) (i) and 12 (c) (ii), the entry “Relevant
Reducing Agent/Masking Agent” has been added.
- In Serial Nos. 12 (a) (ii), 12 (b) and 12 (c) (i), the
entry “ Retanning agents such as Cutch” has been added.
- In Serial No. 31, the entry “Metal Complex Dyes/Liquid
Colouring Agents” has been added.
- Serial No. 37 (i) – Oil for pull up finish and Serial
No. 37 (ii) - wax for pull up finish have been combined into a single
entry called “ Oil/Wax for pull-up finish” and the quantity
allowed under this combined entry has been fixed at 25 kg.
Members may note the above amendments.
