Please find
enclosed herewith the following Notifications/Public Notices issued by Central

Customs
Circular no. 46/2007-Cus. dated 20.12.2007
v This
Circular contains clarification on Duty Free Import Authorization (DFIA) scheme.
The said Circular states that condition no. 4.55.3 of Handbook of
Procedures – Vol. (which
stipulates co-relation of technical characteristics, quality and specification
of the inputs imported under DFIA with the export product) is to be followed for
DFIA only in respect of the products specified in paragraph 4.55.3 of Hand Book
of Procedures – Vol. I and such co-relation is not required to be established
in other cases unless SION prescribes for the same.

Hand Book of Procedures – Vol. I is given below for ready reference of
members.
Alloy
steel including Stainless Steel, Copper Alloy, Synthetic Rubber, Bearings,
Solvent, Perfumes/Essential oil/Aromatic chemicals, surfactants, relevant
fabrics, marble, articles made of polypropylene, articles made of paper and
paper board, insecticides, lead ingots, zinc ingots, citric acid, relevant glass
fibre reinforcement (glass fibre, chopped/stranded mat, roving woven surfacing
mat), relevant synthetic resin (unsaturated polyester resin), epoxy resin, vinyl
ester resin, hydroxy ethyl cellulose), lining material.

This Policy Circular contains details of
principles to be applied while finalizing the claims relating to grant of benefits under DFCE for Status Holders Scheme of
the then EXIM Policy and Target Plus Scheme of Foreign Trade Policy, in respect
of merger and acquisition of companies and/or firms during the period
1.4.2002 to 31.3.2006.

realization, would also be counted for discharge of Export Obligation.
