Sub: 26th India International Leather Fair - Chennai, 31st January - 3rd February, 2011.

As members are aware, the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) organizes India International Leather Fair (IILF) every year in Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai.  The 26th edition of the India International Leather Fair (IILF 2011) will be held from Jan 31st to Feb 3rd 2011 in the same venue. The Council for Leather exports is the main Co-sponsor of this International Leather Fair.

In this regard, ITPO has provided the brief details of the Fair which are given below for information of our members:

IILF will have on display the entire range of products relating to leather and allied industry-finished leather, lining leather, leather goods, travel ware, briefcase, belts, rucksacks, gloves, portfolios, hand bags, purses and wallets, leather footwear, leather garments, footwear components, leather upholstery, industrial leather goods, hand gloves, industrial gloves, fashion accessories, chemicals, machinery and equipment etc.

Out come of 25th edition of IILF 2010:

The 25th edition of the fair, around 435 exhibitors including 173 from 24 countries exhibited their wide range products in the fair. The overseas exhibitors were from Bangladesh, China, Czech republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Iran, Kenya, Malaysia, Nepal, New Zealand, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, The Netherlands, Turkey, UAE, United Kingdom, USA.  There was group participation from China, France, Germany, Italy and Thailand at the show this year.

About 15,000 business visitors including 1,600 of overseas buyers visited the fair. The visitors were from a host of countries like Austria, Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Denmark, Egypt, Ethiopia, Germany, France, Greece, Haiti, Hong Kong, Iceland, Italy, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, Oman, Singapore, South Africa, Sir Lanka, Sudan, Sweden, Taiwan, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States Etc.

IILF 2011 will showcase an enthralling range of a wide variety of leather products and accessories. All the existing, latest and innovative leather goods will be displayed at the fair. The exhibition will be further enhanced with various features like theme pavilion, fashion show, seminars, etc. With the showcase of the leather products and related machinery, the leather businessman can have a glimpse of the latest products and technological scenario in the industry. The seminars and discussions on further developments will give the trader an overview of expected technological up gradation and innovation in the global leather industry.

An ideal platform for bilateral trade concerning the leather industry, IILF 2011 is looking forward to accelerating more business for the leather fraternity in its forthcoming edition.

In addition, on the above tariff, service tax @ 10.30% is payable.

A discount of 15% will be applicable on Bare space, ONLY to the Indian Participants.
A model calculation of minimum space rent for a 9 sq.mtrs stand under built-up booth and bare space booking in Halls / Convention Centre is given below for the information of members.

Payment Schedule.

Booking with 25% payment of participation fee on or before	September 30, 2010.
Balance 75% payment on or before	December 15, 2010.

Member-exporters are therefore requested to confirm their participation in IILF 2011 by remitting the participation fee at the earliest possible.

Participants of IILF 2010 will have option to retain their location provided booking with 25% advance payment is received by 30th September, 2010. 

Members interested to participate in the Fair are requested to send the 25% advance payment as per their space requirement with in 30th September 2010. This may be sent to either Council’s Head Office in Chennai or it’s Regional Offices in Delhi, Kanpur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Agra Extension Office and Jalandhar Extension Office. Kindly note that the stalls will be allotted by ITPO on first-cum-first served basis.
