Sub : Pending Drawback claims with Mumbai Nhava Sheva Customs

Dear Member,

The Council has received a Facility Notice No.12/08 dated 24.1.2008 issued by Shri Sanjeev Behari, Commissioner of Customs (Export), Mumbai Nhava Sheva Customs on the above subject. A copy of the said Facility Notice is enclosed herewith for your ready reference.

It is mentioned in the facility Notice that requests regarding status of Drawback claims may be sent through e-mail to docktrack.jnch@icegate.gov.in by giving shipping bills/CHA details in the subject of the e-mail as specified in the notice, so as to get status of Drawback claims for particular Shipping Bills or of all Drawback claims filed by a particular exporter or of all Drawback claims filed by a particular CHA along with necessary reasons for pendency of pending claims.

Hence, member-exporters having pending Drawback claims with Mumbai Nhava Sheva Customs may send enquiry through e-mail as mentioned above to get details of status.

Member-exporters are also requested to send reply to the queries raised by the Customs on their pending claims within 60 days of issue of the Facility Notice No.12/08 dated 24.1.2008 . Alternately, as mentioned in the said Facility Notice, member exporters who are not able to send their reply to the query of Customs within the stipulated period of 60 days may seek time for submitting the reply from the Customs so that the claims will be kept pending.

Member exporters may kindly note the above and do the needful.
