Dear Members,
Sub: DEPB Rates revised by DGFT w.e.f. Nov 5, 2008
The DGFT has issued a Public Notice No. 102 (RE-2008)/2004-2009 dated 5.11.2008, wherein the revised DEPB rates for leather & leather products have been notified. The new DEPB rates are with effect from Nov 5, 2008. A copy of the said Public Notice along with the Schedule of DEPB Rates for leather & leather products is attached herewith for your perusal.
It may please be noted that in the new schedule, DEPB rates have been reduced by 1% for the following items:
8. Gents Leather Sandals with PU Soles /Rubber Soles / PVC Soles
14. Ladies Leather Shoe / Boot Uppers
16. Ladies Rubber and Canvas Shoes with moulded soles including in CKD / SKD
21. Rubber and Canvas Footwear with rolled soles
22. Sports Shoes with leather upper and moulded sole/PU sole including in CKD/SKD
24. PU Unit Sole
There has been no change in the DEPB rates in respect of other items in the Product Group: Leather and Leather Products.
The members may kindly note the revised DEPB rates.
