Central Footwear Training Institute is the oldest institution established in 1963. The institute conducts Two Year Diploma Course in Footwear Design & Production Technology in collaboration with Textile Institute, UK and also conducts various short term courses. Designing, physical testing, insole making, training in various activities ranging from pattern cutting, grading, machine operations, product development, finishing & fashion prediction are among the several activities that this Institute does.

Central Footwear Training Institute conducts long term and short term (full time/part time) training programs that would
develop human resource for footwear, leather goods, garments and allied industries.
The institute also offers common facility services supported by its well-equipped infrastructure, including shoe cad and techno-managerial consultancy for establishing/modernizing small-scale industries.
