Vide Letter dated 15.10.2012, the DIPP has officially conveyed its approval to the CLE for performing specific functions as Facilitation Agency to guide, facilitate and coordinate with the units and the stakeholder agencies at various stages of the processing besides receiving of applications from the units across all the regions. The List of Activities approved to be performed by the CLE is attached herewith for your information.

As such, the Council’s offices has been authorized to receive applications from the units for preliminary verification and scrutiny and its submission to the CLRI (if the application pertains to the tanning sector) and to the FDDI (if the application pertains to Leather Products Sector).
