Sub:MDA Grant to Individual Exporters for their participation through ITPO / FIEO
Dear Member,
You
may kindly be aware that the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and
Industry, Govt. of India is providing financial support under Marketing
Development Assistance (MDA) Scheme to Member-Exporters of the Council for their
partricipation in events organised/
sponsored by CLE / ITPO / FIEO abroad.
In
this connection we would like to inform our members that the Department of
Commerce has now dcided that FIEO and ITPO will be eligible as grantee
organizations for reimbursing MDA Grant to the Exporers who are also the Members
of other Export Promotion Councils (EPC) for participating in the events
organized by FIEO and ITPO.However for
this purpose the FIEO and ITPO will obtain a “No Objection Certificate” in the
prescribed format (specimen enclosed) from the concerned EPCs, of which the
Exporter is the member.Hence the
Members of CLE are henceforth required to avail MDA grant directly from FIEO /
ITPO in respect oftheir participation
in the Events organized by FIEO / ITPO.
These new MDA Guidelines will be effective from December 1, 2007.
Members of the CLE can avail MDA for participating the events organized by
CLE only.
In
netshell MDA grant can be availed by members of the Council for Leather Exports
from ITPO / FIEO, if they participate the events organized by ITPO / FIEO.Members of the Council can avail MDA grant
from the Council only if they participate in the Events organized by the
Council.However, the eligibility willbe in accordance with MDA guidelines. The details of the MDA Scheme are available in the Council’s website www.leatherindia.org for information and
guidance of member companies
