Procedure for becoming a Member of the Council:

Those persons, Hindu Undivided Family (HUF), Firms, Joint Stock Companies, Co-operative Societies or Corporations can become a Member of the Council as per Memorandum of Association & Articles of Association. 

Membership:

An applicant shall have to produce the following documents for becoming a member of the Council.

1. Membership application form

2. Membership fee through Account Payee Cheque/DD (in favour of “COUNCIL FOR LEATHER EXPORTS)
3. Export Performance for the last three years duly certified by Bank / Chartered Accountant

4. A self certified copy of the IEC Number issued by the licensing authority concerned.

5. In case of Manufacturer Exporter, a self certified copy of SSI Certificate/ Industrial Licence / IEM issued by the licensing authority

The Fee details of New Membership for the year 2011-12:

Registration-cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC): 

After becoming a member of the Council, an applicant shall have to produce the following documents for issuance of RCMC.

1. Form of Application Form for RCMC

2. A self certified copy of the IEC Number issued by the licensing authority concerned.

3. In case of Manufacturer Exporter, a self certified copy of SSI Certificate/ Industrial Licence / IEM issued by the licensing authority,

Renewal of Membership: 

Renewal of Membership falls due on 1^st April every year and shall be payable within three months as per Articles 6(b) (i) of the Articles of Association of the Council.

Member shall have to produce the following documents at the time of renewal of their Membership of the Council.

1. Membership Renewal Application form

2. Applicable Membership fee through Account Payee Cheque /Demand Draft  in favour of “COUNCIL FOR LEATHER EXPORTS
3. Export Performance for the previous year as prescribed in the membership renewal application form, duly certified by Bank / Chartered Accountant  In case of no export, you may declare in the membership renewal application form as NIL export
