CIRCULAR TO THE MEMBERS REGARDING ONLINE REGISTRATION - AUGUST 2, 2002

Dear Members,
1. I am glad to inform that the Council has started its maiden venture of online submission of Export performance details, Membership Renewal and Enrolling New Membership. This facility is made available to the Members from this month onwards.
2. ONLINE SUBMISSION OF MONTHLY EXPORT PERFORMANCE DATA
You have been submitting the export performance details in a specified format every month. In order to ease the work of the Members and to ensure timely submission of the data, the Council has come up with the new device of submitting the monthly export performance details online.
3. For this purpose, the Members have to log on to our site www.leatherindia.org
and click the heading MEMBERSHIP. You will get an option “ONLINE REGISTRATION”. On clicking the online registration, you will get four sub-headings namely
“Online Submission of Membership Application”, “Password Change”, “Online submission of Renewal Application” and “Export performance details – Yearly/Monthly”.
4. For submitting the monthly data, click the last icon “Export Performance Details”. It will ask for your user name and password.
The Membership code number is your user name and password. By entering your user name and password, you can reach your own page and enter your data.
5. Kindly take note of the following points for quick and easy submission of data :
Members are requested to submit their monthly export performance details online from July 2002.
Members have to use their Membership Code Number as the user name and password, wherever required.
Your
Region [South (S), North(N), East(E), Central (C), West (W)], Panel (FL, LF, FC, LP, GL, SH, LC) followed by
Membership number will constitute your user name and password. For eg. SLP00409, ELG900912. Refer your Registration cum Membership Number.
6. ONLINE SUBMISSION OF MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL APPLICATION
Henceforth, Members can also renew their Membership online. For this purpose, follow the same procedure as stated in Para 3 above and click the icon
“Online submission of Renewal Application”. It will ask for your user name and password. The Membership code number is your user name and password. By entering your user name and password, you can reach your own page and renew your Membership.
7. Kindly take note of the following points while renewing online :
Your renewal application will reach the Council through e-mail on the date of your submitting the details online.
The Renewal application will be valid from the date of your submission online.
The Renewal application loses its validity if the prescribed fees and the other necessary documents are NOT submitted to the Council within SEVEN DAYS of your submitting the renewal application online.
ONLINE SUBMISSION OF MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION
This is applicable only for the enrollment of New Members.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Members
in future, if they want to change their password, they can do so by clicking
the icon “Password change”.
The
username and password system is introduced to maintain secrecy of the data
and to avoid access to others.
