Dear Members,
We append below a copy of Customs Notification Notice No.114/202 dated Oct 16, 2002 issued by Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, New Delhi, notifying certain amendments in the Customs Notification No.21/2002-Customs dated 1st March 2002, which pertains to duty free import facility available to manufacturer-exporters of leather garments. By virtue of current amendments the sample fabric is allowed to be imported upto a length of 500 metres instead of earlier notified 200 metres under the duty free scheme.

CUSTOMS NOTIFICATION NO.114/202 DATED 16TH OCTOBER 2002
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the Public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No.21/202-Customs, dated the 1st March 2002, namely:-
In the said notification, in the Table, against Sr.No.167, in column (3), in Sr.No. (y), for the entry “200”, the entry
“500” shall be substituted.
