At present, under the provisions of Tannery Modernization Scheme (TMS), the financial assistance disbursal in case of self-financed modernization programmes is to be made after completion of legal formalities and submission of a certificate from the General Manager-District Industries Centre (GM-DIC) regarding arrival of machines at site and investment made for purchase of machines for which assistance has been sanctioned.
In order to facilitate quick disbursal of assistance, it was decided by the Steering Committee of TMS that officials of Small Industries Service Institute (SISI) are also authorized to issue certificate on the above matter and the same will be accepted for disbursal of assistance.
In view of the above, it stands clarified that disbursal in case of self-financed modernization programmes may be made on the basis of certificate from SISI also. It means that disbursal of assistance may be made on the basis of certificate given either by GM-DIC or SISI. This will provide an option to the tanneries for getting a requisite certificate so as to avoid any kind of delay in disbursal.
