- Amendment issued.
Dear Member,
As you are aware, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, is offering financial assistance to the individual exporters for undertaking Sale-cum-Study tours to overseas countries, participation in international trade fairs held abroad, publicity etc.,
The Ministry of Commerce & Industry has issued an amendment on May13, 2003 to the MDA Code (guidelines). As per the amendment, the Sale-cum-Study Tours by individual exporters have been discontinued from the approved activities under MDA Code with immediate effect.
In view of the above, individual exporters will not be eligible to claim MDA grant on
to & fro air fare for their Sale-cum-Study Tours undertaken from May 14, 2003, onwards (i.e. for all cases where the date of departure from India is on or after May 14, 2003).
All approval letters issued by the Council for such Sale-cum-Study Tours to be undertaken by individual exporters on or after May 14, 2003 stand cancelled.
All other terms and conditions of the MDA Code ( guidelines) as amended till date, will remain unaltered and applicable. The detailed MDA guidelines are hosted in the Councils website
