Sub: Revised DEPB Rates
We hereby inform that the Director General of Foreign Trade has issued Public Notice No.29(RE-2006)/2004-2009 dated July 3, 2006, notifying the revised DEPB rates for all export products including leather & leather products.
The schedule of revised DEPB rates in respect of leather & leather product is appended herewith for information and reference of our member-exporters.
As per the new rates, there is reduction of rates ranging between 1% and 2% on various products, as against previous year. This reduction is consequent to lowering of basic customs duty from 15% to 12.5% in the Union Budget 2006-07, announced on Feb 28, 2006.
The revised DEPB rates are effective from the date of Public Notice i.e. 3rd July 2006.
