Dear Members,
Sub: Focus Market scheme
As members are aware in the Annual Supplement to Foreign Trade Policy announced on 7th April 2006, a new scheme called ‘Focus Market Scheme’ was introduced to offset the high freight cost and other disabilities faced in accessing select international markets.
In this regard, the Council already sent detailed circular on June 19, 2006 giving salient features of the ‘Focus Market Scheme’ and also the list of identified markets.
The DGFT has now issued Public Notice No.76(RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 18th December 2006 amending the provisions of the scheme which are appended in enclosure.
The DGFT also notified the application form and guidelines for availing the Focus Market Scheme. These are available in the DGFT website
www.dgft.delhi.nic.in . These are also hosted in the Council’s website
www.leatherindia.org under ‘Policy’ heading.
This is for information, reference and necessary guidance of member-exporters in availing the ‘Focus Market Scheme’.
