Dear Members,
We attach herewith a copy of Customs Circular No. 79/2003 dated Sept 4, 2003 issued by Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, New Delhi in connection with revised norms for execution of Bond and Bank Guarantee under Advance License and EPCG schemes.
As you are aware, Status Holders and manufacturer-exporters have been exempted from finishing Bank Guarantee and were required to furnish only the Bond with surety. By virtue of this circular, these class of exporters are now required to furnish only Bond without surety while importing under Advance Licences / EPCG schemes etc. Member-exporters may kindly note those relaxations and accordingly avail the schemes.
