Sub: Filing of annual return by IEC holders -
Ref: Public Notice No.21/2004-09 dated November 8, 2004
In terms of Para 2-9.5 of the Hand Book of Procedures Vol-I of the newly announced Foreign Trade Policy each Import-Export Code (IEC) holder have to furnish annual return giving details of Import-Export made during the proceeding licensing year to DGFT office through online.
The last date for furnishing such Annual Return for 2003-04 was 31st October 2004. However, the DGFT has now extended the date
upto 31st December 2004 by amending the Para 2-9.5, which is reproduced below.
"Each IEC holder (barring those who have obtained IEC in the preceding licensing year i.e. 1.4.2003 to 31.3.2004) shall be required to furnish yearly details of imports/exports made by him in the preceding licensing year by 31st December. The information shall be furnished online by the IEC holder by accessing the website at
www.nic.in/eximpol ."
Member-exporters may therefore furnish the yearly details of import-export made during the year 2003-04 (1st April 2003 to 31st March 2004) on line by accessing the website
www.nic.in/eximpol .
In the said website, on the left-hand you will find 'File IEC Trade Returns' (New). By clicking this button IEC Trade Returns can be filed in the format appearing in this section. IEC (Trade Return) HELP and IEC (Trade Return) FAQ are also available in this section, which can be browsed to get further details for filing the Annual Returns.
Members-exporters are once again requested to file their yearly import/export details through online
before 31st Dec 2004.
