Sub : Regulations concerning participation in international fairs/BSMs

Dear Member, 

Members may please note the following regulations concerning participation in international fairs where national pavilion is organized by the Council and also Buyer Seller Meets, which has been approved by the Committee of Administration of the Council. 

• As per Government regulations, any member withdrawing from a fair/BSM after confirming participation has to pay the full participation fee, failing which MDA grant will not be provided for them for one year. 
  
  

• In the wake of withdrawal of member(s) from any fair/BSM on account of unavoidable circumstances, refund of participation fee will be considered only if the Council or member concerned is able to find an alternate participant who is able to take the entire space booked by the member who intends to withdraw. However, the onus of finding an alternate participant, rests solely with the member concerned. 
  
  

• 80% of the estimated charges will be collected from members as Commitment fee and the balance 20% will be collected from members after finalization of all logistic and marketing activities, prior to the commencement of the fair. 
  
  

• Though every effort will be made to get invitation/visa recommendation letters from the authorities concerned including fair organizers and Department of Commerce, Government of India, for facilitating issue of Visas to the members participating in fairs/BSMs, any member who is not able to participate in a fair/BSM on account of non-issuance of visa will have to pay the entire participation fee to the Council, if there are no prospects for getting refund from the fair organizers/agencies concerned or if alternate participant could not be mobilized. Hence, it is the responsibility of the member concerned to apply for the visa well in advance, considering the stringent visa regulations imposed by foreign countries.
